Martino Quintavalla is a luthier specializing in classical,bluegrass and folk mandolins. His instruments combine Italian lutherie tradition with contemporary acoustic research. Each instrument is handcrafted in his workshop in the Alps, with great attention to tonal quality, construction precision, and musical responsiveness, and is designed to meet the needs of classical repertoire, as well as bluegrass, folk and modern musicians.
I have always been a curious person and a lover of handmade objects. For this reason I decided to build good musical instruments, particulalrly mandolins, for myself. This triggered the spark that brought me to lutherie. See more
